Preamble

Knowing that the earth was created following an extremely old Big-Bang, which was either of an accidental nature, or of divine origin, mankind must contribute to his own survival intelligently, and not destroy the phenomenon of life with weapons or by inappropriate concepts.

What does TERRAPPA mean?

It is an acronym formed by the contraction of the French words "Terre d'appartenance", which means "native earth of our last known ancestors to which we belong".
This particular native earth is that where our roots are anchored, in other words, that earth where our ancestors left significant marks behind. We know of the existence of these places from what our parents have transmitted to us, having themselves learnt about it from their own parents.
To go back to our origin, it is necessary to know the chain of generations leading to ours. It is impossible to go back beyond a few centuries, except for some privileged few whose genealogy has been duly established since a long time. This concerns mainly heroes, kings and emperors known for their contributions or their involvement in various wars in the history of humanity.
In spite of scarcity of information, for most of us, it is obvious that the species to which we belong has a common origin as all the substances used to constitute the human body were drawn from the earth, i.e. of animal, plant and fruit origin, with the help of air, heat and water, before they could be absorbed and transformed in the mother's body in order to nourish the foetus developing in her womb. Thus a Human child belongs physically to the earth, genetically to his parents and psychically to the family environment from which it will draw the elements necessary to the development of his personality. The education which will be provided to him throughout his primary, secondary and tertiary studies, will refine his personality.
The earth, as we know it, is the fundamental support and generator of the chain of successive generations. This is why, by this material bond, we constitute an integral part of its evolution which we try to understand by making use of our intelligence, and to utilize positively; but too often, this is done in a negative way either out of ignorance, presumption or vanity.
Belonging to the earth where our last known ancestors lived is a strong bond with our remote past. And because we are not necessarily the product of an accident, even if the earth itself originated from the explosion of a larger planetary conglomerate, nothing could prove that we are living a useless life in a lost place. Henceforth, it is important to understand that we all belong to this world, even if we are geographically separated from each other. This leads us to think that we must honour our ancestors by perpetuating the evolution of the chain of generations, of which we are ourselves an integral part, and which we need to transmit in good conditions to our children and future generations.
Many people think that the earth belongs to them. They have bought a more or less large area, or appropriated it by cunning or by force. What a mistake! They will leave this earth behind, without taking anything along with them. But the earth will preserve their corpses or their ashes...

What are the objectives of TERRAPPA?

TERRAPPA wishes to contribute to a better raison d'être for those who doubt about their responsibilities owing to the fact that they live here, rather than elsewhere, and because they are unaware of its how, why and with what aim.
Biological research laboratories have already started investigating into the DNA of those people who are willing to know all their ethnic origins and the probable places where their ancestors lived, as well as certain genetic characteristics inherited from the past and whose existence can still be seen today.
The genetic interest of this knowledge is undeniable, but this is also motivated by a monetary gain for those people who submitted their DNA samples for examination. Furthermore, the information obtained by this means and stored in appropriate files would allow, if necessary, Government and private authorities to establish a social hierarchy, based on individual molecular biology criteria. Consequently, it would be possible to find out those human groups presenting risks of physical or mental diseases observed in laboratory without the latter's knowledge.
But, one can still hope that it is the business of doctors, and not of Government. Everything should be done in confidentiality and in a relation based on confidence between the patient and his doctor. The Hippocratic Oath must serve as a safeguard against any deviation in this particular field.
For TERRAPPA, it is mainly a question of making known that our "we physically belong to the earth" is simple to understand. It is a strong enough reality to encourage any person to make a honourable success of his existence and to favorably influence his environment, even if the economic and health conditions are difficult. And it is the basis of our evolution. We are all inhabitants of this world, and thus, it is ours.
All religions can also make useful contributions.
